Mary Winkler is a cold blooded murderer, plain and simple. She provided ZERO proof she was abused. There were no calls to the police, nothing said to friends, and not a single mark on her. There was at the same time adequate evidence that she had lost all their money in a scam. They were going to the bank that day.
Her husband didn't die immediately. He didn't struggle, yell, or get mad that she had shot him in the back while he was sleeping. She told police he simply said, "Why?".
When a man murders someone, especially his wife or girlfriend, no one says, "Normal men don't do that, he is a sick man." They say he is a cold blooded murderer which is the truth. That is all he is, put him in prison and throw away the key.
The fact that people make excuses for murdering women sickens me. The same applies to them, they are cold blooded murderers. No excuses, if a woman is truly battered there are countless resources she could have used.
She got away with murder, gets to see her kids after she stole their father, gets to go back to her old life, and gets sympathy from Oprah. Why? There is one reason and one reason only she got away with this. She is a woman.

Oprah is a prime example of how feminism isn't about equality. She seems to share in the delusional belief that if a woman murders or commits any wrong it is the man's fault somehow. Using logic like that we could say that men commit crimes because the know women like bad boys so they do it to get female attention. But this is just as absurd as blaming men for crimes women commit. Oprah and Mary Winkler both are the type of women that men and women are associating with feminism and that is one of the reasons so many people are turning their backs on it.

I haven't been able to play the video because my machine decided to go on to silent running a couple of months back but I've heard of both Winfrey and Winkler. Both crazies.

I can't asnwer the qeustion per se, because I refuse to watch that sh1t3... As with the first response here, I'd likely throw something at the screen if I had to endure that hateful woman. And seeing Mary Wrinkler would upset me too.

I thought it was ironic that Oprah would actually pay this joke of a woman to come on her show. Then she did not once even criticize Mary for her plainly admitted crimes. .
When men come on the show, they are typically cajoled and forced by Oprah to admit their wrongdoing and tell just how bad a person they are.

I agree. All women have to do these days is play the victim and they can get away with almost anything. Everyday women kill their husbands drown their kids and it's never their own faults but society or the "oppressive" men in their lives.
I bet even in todays world lizzie borden would still get off scott free.

I have no idea why you would be ranting and raving about it. We didn't make a decision of letting her off the hook. She is a very simple minded creature with a serious mental disorder ( healthy people don't murder their husbands no matter how mentally abusive they have been). She should not be allowed to roam the streets, because she might do it again, when fancy strikes her. I would give her mental evaluation first, because she didn't sound like a stable individual at all. And based on that would lock her up for the rest of her miserable life. She certainly has to be separated from her poor children. Kids should at least be given a chance to grow up in a healthy environment.

I'm no supporter of Mary Winkler by any means, and I definitely think she should be in jail, but can't you find something else to talk about?

basicly the fake rio is telling you to forget about it because a woman is getting away with something. ugghhh my clone is such a loser!
anyways as a feminist, I think we should talk about this. she was battered and this is adequate cause for her to not go to jail. She did what any woman would do and fought back against her abuser. Its an unfortunate ending but her husband robbed her of her rights as a human!
