Has anybody ever quit college and then went back later to get there degree? If so how long where you out of college for? Did you go back to the same college that you previous attend or go to a different college? Was it hard going back to college?

I was accepted into a 4 year university right out of high school. I went for a little while and I found out it wasn't for me. I left the University and was out of school for a semester. The I enrolled in a local Community College and went for two years. I got my associates and now I have transfered to the same 4 year university I started out at.

Personally it was easy to go back to college. I knew I needed and wanted a degree. I just wasn't ready to live on my own. Now I am. The only trouble I am having is with age. I am 22 and all my fellow classmates are younger than I am. All of the people my age have either graduated or are seniors.

If you are thinking about leaving college the advice I have for you is to make sure you make a decision for YOU! Not anyone else. You do not have to follow the path of your family and friends. Make sure you are making yourself happy or you will make the wrong decision.

Hope this helps!

I took a few classes at a community college after high school then I dropped out for a few years. I went back when I was 23 and I have been slowly taking classes. My biggest load has been this semester at 3 classes. I have a husband (no kids) and work full time so that is all I can do for now. I am only a sophomore. I expected it to be hard so when I went back I only took one class that semester. I went to a completely different college.

I got an AA in 2002 then took off when I got married for 3yrs b4 going back to get my BA. I went to a differnet school in a diff state. I lived in the dorms the first go around so my experience going back was very different. Also having a family changes things. I couldnt spend all of my time on school projects and papers when I had a family at home. So there were alot of late nights doing homework after putting th baby to bed. But going back was worth all the hard work and no sleep.

Lots of people have. Michael Jordin is a good example. He quit UNC to play in the NBA and then went back later for his degree.
