Halloween Costume???

Question

Okay here's two halloween costume descriptions. I am 13, what one?
(a) Football player, with pigtails, borrow the jersey from a guy friend?
OR
(b) Something else? Any ideas?

Or you could go half football player half cheerleader. pretty much borrow a guy friends' jersey and mix it up w/ a cheerleading skirt. or you could go for a temperamental Alice in wonderland is cute too! :]

I'm not a prude by any stretch but I think at your age, gender bending costumes are a bit too sexual and will attract the wrong kind of attention for you.

I think you should do something classically feminine but not sexy, or else gender neutral like an animal or a profession. In a couple years, maybe you can do something like one of the Greek goddesses...a very womanly costume that won't be slutty if you do it right.

At this age, maybe you could do a musician you admire, that will keep you out of kiddie costumes and monsters. Still careful on the suggestive stuff. You could also do a Disney villain like Cruella DeVille, I don't mean to sound insulting but this is age-appropriate and you will have plenty of time for grownup costumes. You could also do a figure from history such as Pocahontas, Sacagawea, or Joan of Arc or something.

coordinating costumes are always cute!

*thing 1 and thing 2
*little red riding hood and the wolf (i'm being the wolf!! just add a cute tail, ears, and cute mittens, furry boots and a shirt that says big bad wolf on it.)
*bowling pins and bowling ball

the costumes at the store aren't always that corny..you may find something there.

also, you could be a devil (with pitchfork and all) or something like that.

the football player would look odd if you didn't have padding, and i still think it would look odd. but if you like it, GO FOR IT!

anyway, more costumes would be

*flapper girl.. grab an old dress (maybe your mom's!) and some beads. maybe wear a wig...wear fishnets and stuff
*wear an afro and some metallic pants. that will be amusing
*be a pirate. (i love pirates of the caribbean)
*be a greek goddess...wear lots of metallic jewelry and wear a toga. keep makeup neutral!

here is an easy one, just use an old t-shirt & get some dye or puff paint to make a big yellow cirle in the middle of the shirt & buy some red horns & a trident. You can wear some jeans underneath,, want to know what you are?? A deviled egg!
