Do you believe in global warming? Yes, what part of the screwed up weather patterns, warming temperatures, increasing strength of hurricanes, increasing/decreasing rain patterns, desertification, ect... ect... Don't people understand.
What are we doing to stop it from happening? Some countries are trying to lower their CO2 emissions... cleaner burning fuels, air quality alert days, stricter regulations of refineries and factories, ect.
Do you know of any expert opinions on this issue? Several of my professors.
What do you know about global warming (even if you don't believe it). The globe is warming... it's affecting weather patterns ect.
What do you know/have heard is the greatest contributor to the problem? CO2 levels
Thanks

Age: 40+. Country: USA. Do you believe in global warming? Yes. Why? Because a mere 11,000 years ago there was two miles of ice resting atop of Wisconsin. That ice melted due to global warming. What are we doing to stop it from happening? Nothing, the future (unborn) citizens of Wisconsin voted to have that ice removed by turning up the global thermostat. Do you know of any expert opinions on this issue? No, this is all from my own in-expertise. What do you know about global warming? [See above response]. What have you heard is the greatest contributor to the problem? Define "problem". The average temperature of the Earth is greater than it is today. Life flourished during the Mississippian and Pennsylvanian Periods despite, or rather due to, this higher temperature. Get used to it baby, it's going to be another scorcher out there. You're welcome.

Yes, global warming is real. The evidence that it is occuring is overwhelming (evidence that humans are causing it not so much).

Expert opinions... sure, but too many to list here. Let's just say every single science professor at my University believe it's real.

I know a lot about the issue, and wrote a 22 page paper on it... I'm too lazy to put that information here but the Wikipedia entry on the subject is very good - try that.

Greatest contributor to the problem is unknown - greenhouse gasses are definitely a factor, but many other factors could contribute to it (geologic activity, fluctuations in solar radiation, etc)...

I do not believe in global warming. While it is based on seemingly sound scientific theory, man-made global warming is not happening. You may hear of tempatures rising but you don't ear of it also cooling down. The earth's tempatures go through cycles; varying by a couple of degrees. And while one side of the ocean may be warming, the other side is cooling. If you check the facts and not the media you will find the truth. While I don't believe in global warming I do believe we need to stop polluting our planet. While some battles you can't really win( for example, grocery bags: if its plastic, you are creating landfills and its bad for the enviroment. If its paper then your wasting trees) but one thing I think we should do is stop polluting the ocean. More than 80% of our oxygen is produced by photosynthesis happening in oceanic organisms. Please check the facts and don't ignore my opinion because im a teen. Thanks for letting me post my veiw,

I do believe in global warming, but as a natural cycle, not something man made or even human influenced.
seeing as how its all natural cycles, and mostly caused by the solar cycles of the sun, there isnt really much we can do about it.
everybody involved on a scientific level with global warming has an opinion, but that shouldnt matter, scientists only deal with theories and facts
i do know that global warming isnt man made, its all ebb and flow of solar cycles.
the sun is the greatest contributor, and i dont think the sun is a problem.

It is caused by those People who burn down the Amazon rain forest. Co2 is made by the fire, after they grow 2 crops on the land + nothing grows there, so there are fewer plants to remove Co2 from the air.
We need to drill a hole in the polar ice cap at the north pole, and pump sea water out of the Arctic ocean and spray it into the air where it will freeze + thus we can pile up the excess sea water up there as ice. There are some old Russian nuclear submarines they're not using that can generate the electricity to power the pumps. I have a picture that illustrates this concept on my 360

My name is Coco and I am 14 and im a girl I do believe the globe is warming I believe that our globe is warming mostly because of natural reasons, but I do believe we have begun to warm the globe with all our pollutants, but that it is natural. Our world has just been through an ice age, and we are not completely over with it, hence all the glaciers. Also, we have recently gone through a mini-iceage during the 20th century, and we are warming up after that phenomenon..

the real question is whether the tiny percent of CO change caused by humans can effect earth's homeostasis..which is probably not. the climate changes over time and some people say the whole 'problem' was stressed by officials who wanted to embezzle the funding given to them..

40+ Weather is cyclical, the Earth will heat up, and cool down, we've had many Ice ages before, we will have them again, we just had the COLDEST April on record, as far as I'm concerned, that put "Global Warming" to bed !
