I say let a sleeping baby, well, sleep. If the child sleeps for more than 6 hours during the day(unless they are so little they still have their days and nights mixed up) then I might wake them up to feed. By waking the baby you are actually causing the REM cycles to mess up and they might not be getting a full cycle of sleep and are having a hard time because of that. If the baby has other troubles, like slowing down their breath, or gasping for air, when eating, this may be a sign of other problems. When babies are having a hard time their bodies will tell them they need to sleep and use their reserves for basic life functions. I say, schedule an appointment with the doctor. Try letting the baby sleep instead of waking them untill you get in to the doctor. If you notice that the baby is not breathing right, or that they have a sunken soft spot on the top of their head, do not wait for the doctor and go to the ER.

lol That's terrible! Something is not right if people fall asleep during that! I can honestly say I have never fallen asleep while making babies.

He'd have to be pretty horrible at it for that to happen. No, I've never fallen asleep during the process.

We both fell sleep at the same time once, but didn't make a baby then! Now I'm lucky to get any, either we fall sleep cause we're both tired or we try and the kids wake up! Thanks to their in-built "nookie radar" children ARE a great contraceptive!
