but it was another girls patient and when i went in the room she had me to do nothing at all, i was just standing there. why ask me to go in there with her if i wasn't going to do anything to help her

A lot of the times, it is always best to have an extra person in the patients room just in case something should happen.

My sister is currently in the hospital and when the nurse comes in, there are always 2 of them. They told me it's just in case something happens and if one of them needs assistance.
