Look out the window, isn't she here, yet?

Check your watch every few minutes.

Play at working a crossword puzzle [as opposed to doing the cross word puzzle].

This isn't the 1st time she's been late...or the last time she will be [in Red's head].

He's taken a paper coffee cup, what else might he look to help himself to?

Leave a mess for Angel, she deserves it. She's late!

It sounds like fun, good luck on your play! I'm going with the fun idea, maybe Ryder could take a great big black crayon and draw a huge clock on the back of the paper showing the time as ten minutes past when she is supposed to start. The paper would have to be the broadsheet ones so the audience could see it.

Then he could have an advertisement for watches "accidently" fall on the floor when she comes in and asks her if she could pick it up for you -- "I really want to go to that watch sale -- hear it's a good place to buy a watch."

Anyway, I'm sure you will think of something better, but enjoy your time on the play.

You could try acting it. If you read the play and understand who Red is and what the story is all about, then all you have to do is take Red's place on the stage and react to all of the stimuli in the scene the way Red would react to it, in a creative and dynamic manner. Easy. Oh, why don't you seek the help of the director? That is what directors are for. Break a leg.

How about sitting in a chair leaning back against a wall just kinda frustrated but you know acting all cool and laid back but still annoyed that she is late and when she comes just be all far away. Act like it was your girlfriend that was late.
