The beginning rate of pay for the average licensed/ bonded and insured cleaning person starts at around $20 per hour and can go as high as $45 an hour depending upon what area of the country you live, if they are independent or do they work for a large national franchise.

Paying anything to an unlicensed or insured person to clean is very risky on your part because when something goes wrong you will be left to foot the bill, be it a broken item in your home or a workman comp claim if they get injured while working for you.

Depends on where you live, and also what you are requiring them to do. I used to live in Arizona and the first cleaning lady I had was $35 per week. She did an okay job, but then I hired a different one who did an awesome job, including appliances and lots of other extras and I paid her $70 per week. She was well worth it.

Well, you cannot buy a cleaning lady, but you can buy her services as a housekeeper. I would say it depends upon how large your house is. The going rates in your area should be apparent by ads put put by the maids.

Professional business owner.

depends where you live I live on the beach in Florida and even my friends on the mainland pay 20-25.00an hour but you can ask for a flat rate it depends on what you want for example your whole house or deep cleaning meaning stove fridge etc.closets or just one room be careful with those big services they charge a fortune.

think about it in a couple of different ways, gooing rate in the north east is about 8, hour. from there you add, difficulty in reaching your place, size of your place, number of bathroom, bedrooms, how much cleaning are you requesting, full clean, dust clean, ect...full clean add 2 buck per hour, busline add 1.50, each bathroom over 1, add .75, each person in the house add .75, this should give you a nice idea, and keep your cleaning lady, to low and they go, to much work they go, then lastly ask a local jenny maid to do an evaluation... i am not endorsing them.. really, they give good estimates. and then talk things over with the person you hire.

It depends what are they cleaning, house, office, apartment move outs, how many rooms, just rooms , dishes, laundry.
I know some how get paid between 8.00 up to 12.00
Some have flat rates, then add to them based on extra stuff.

I agree with Dan. They have to pay for their own insurance and retirement. I think $45 and hour is a fair rate.

I pay mine $50. She comes every two weeks and stays for about 4-5 hours. So 10ish dollars an hour is good, if they work good and don't lollygag around.
