It's one way to get rid of hypocrites isn't it, like the ones who say the Bible is the word of God, but won't even follow the ten commandments. They ignore " Thou Shalt Not Kill", when they want to go to war, execute criminals, keep a gun in the house to shoot burglars. Oh, just one other example that they ignore is Exodus 35:2 - For six days, work is to be done..........WHOEVER DOES ANY WORK ON THE SABBATH MUST BE PUT TO DEATH.
Who needs crazy hypocrites that pick and choose which parts of their crazy Bible they will obey? Maybe G. Carlin was making a good point since he was not killing them himself but letting them kill each other.

Show me a war and I'll show you a religion or religions behind it. Not that God wants it that way, but since when do we give a thought, when we want to fight, as to what God wants? :-)

Nah, as stated above, it's not religion's fault. I actually agree with Carlin as a really good irony is not to be ignored.

My wife often says "if women were in charge none of this stupidity would happen". My smart@$$ reply is "if women were in charge, we'd do stupid things for women's reasons." I know that's a seperate issue but the logic is the same.

"Thou Shalt Not Kill" is a misinterpretation. "Thou shalt not murder" is more accurate. Just as interpretations of the Koran say you shall not commit suicide when a more accurate translation - as percieved by a suicide bomber, at least - is you shall not destroy yourself. There is a distinct difference between the two in each case.

The Old Testament is full of war, genocide and killing.

I'm a practicing catholic, by the way, but only a true sheep takes it all literally and at face value. Yes, a lot of the bloodiest events have occurred due to religious beliefs.

All due respect to Carlin.
Thou Shalt Not Kill - is better said no murder.
Murder is punishable by death that is also part of the Bible.
You are allow to protect yourself that is Biblical too.

You also need to look up insulting people is like insulting G-d.

My question to you when so called "holy people" came here on 9/11 did they just kill only other holy people?

I grew up liking Carlin but he has gotten to mean and ugly in his routine and I don't find him funny anymore.

people would have other excuses to fight it is not religions fault .. it would be about race . group . or other things .. That sounds fair but its not right.. most soldiers are just trying to do some good .. or just trying to make ends meat. and dont have much control. some have no religion.. But I would lik e to offer a solution to the civilian deaths ,, maybe wars could be faught on the Arctic Bench on the North Polar cap.. the poor Eskimos we could buy them All a condo in Hawaii .. it would be cheaper.

you can add when gang bangs and dopers shoot each other i am happy.

no any burglars that break in to a home with a armed homeowner just committed suicide.

and illegal drugs should be free all you want. all you have to do is go to a drug use house a stay there till you are no longer under the influence or dead. that would cut the number of drug user quick. by overdose or brain fry.

When "a bunch of holy people kill each other" others suffer and die. I would prefer"any day no one kill anyone, I am happy". Of course its not funny and no one would pay him to say it.
