Swing Kids
A little twist on a war movie. Showed the effect of the war on civilian teens. Great actors and even better story.

"Band of Brothers"....not a movie on the big-screen, but a tv mini-series. It's based on true events and true characters.
As for a big screen movie, "Saving Private Ryan" would be my fave. Great visuals and storyline

Midway
I was in the Navy and since it's a naval battle and has so many great actors, it just seems like the best WWII movie.

That's easy - it's " McHale's Navy Joins The Air Force",
