I asked an elder how many demons there were in the world and he said he studied it and found out the total amount. He also said not to walk between two palm trees and some other things where demons can attack. Its scary!

Did you ask him the basis for his statement?
Do you realize there are many cities in the world which each have populations that exceed this number of demons? Doesn't seem like such a large number now does it?
How far apart do palm trees have to be for you to walk between them? If they are 2 miles or 1.2 km apart, is that the same as if they were 1 yard or 1 meter apart?
Think about the things you are told and realize how utterly senseless they are before you start worrying about "scary" things!!

It's okay. The Lord will protect you. Remember, demons were God's angels who TRIED to mutiny. The rest of what he told you was superstition. Then again, look at how many people are superstitious... (I will probably think twice before walking between two palm trees again, though, LOL!)

Um, odd. Never heard that one, sounds like someone either having fun at someone else's expense, or being very confused. What church was it?? Perhaps it is the churches belief system, or it could be the specific person believes this. Or, assuming you didn't see him say it, it could be someone lied to you, or was mistaken when tellling you this.
Honestly it only worries me that someone would believe this.
