I'm a 12th grade dirtbag with a 2.3 GPA and who hasn't taken the SAT yet and is looking for a good school to go to. My faimily has no money to spare, so I'm looking for a school with cheap housing nearby as well. A good artistic scene would be appreciated as well.

First off, you should state where you are from. Second, I was an English major in college so I can tell you that you should just pick the school that you can afford to go to.Whether it is a state school or something because an English degree is a dime a dozen. Also, I'd like to warn you, unless you are going to get your masters and then your phd, don't do english. i want to be an english professor. everyone may tell you that there is a job market for english majors, there isn't. i graduated and still don't hav a job. I went to long island university and i wish i went to a state or cuny instead. take it from a person that knows a lot about the education system, English is not a specialized subject, you can take it anywhere. clean up your act, being an english major is a whole lot of homework and writing papers, but i loved it. just bc u were a dirtbag in high school doesn't mean that college has to be the same. be positive. don't wear your high school gpa on your sleeve no one will know it unless you tell them!

good luck you can email me with any other questions!

Honestly, your best bet might be doing community college for two years before transferring to a four-year. That way you can raise your GPA (thereby increasing the odds of getting a scholarship) for a fraction of the cost.
