My mother must be drying boulders in the dryer. It's right next to my room.
I hear the gentle whooshing of my laptop fan.
My mother is banging around in the kitchen. Every time she closes a cabinet she slams it. Every time she puts down a pot or utensil she makes a loud bang.
My dad is singing along, unsuccessfully, with EVERYTHING on TV. He never knows the words, but he sings along anyway. I think it's a Home Depot commercial right now.
The AC just kicked on... the intake filter is right next to my door, so I hear a loud whooshing noise.
