If I buy a 250 gallon tank How many gold fish will I be able to put in there.Right now I have 3 goldfish,3 cory cats and 3 white clouds in a 14 gallon (and I know how dirty goldfish are thats why I am upgrading my tank).my goldies did not eat any fish I had gotten in the tank.I will probably start with a 55-100 gallon but I will eventually go to a 250

Goldfish really should be in ponds...but if you insist in keeping them in a tank, I would do three to a 250 gallon, so I would put all your fish into the bigger tank and not add anything else to it.

well since goldfish get to be 12+ inches i would say you would be safe adding 1 more goldfish (unless you have the fancy type then you can add a couple more. i would suggest getting quite a few more cories...also if you wanted, you could put a couple weather (dojo) loaches in the tank too since they are cold water fish and will thrive in the same tank with goldfish. this is all assuming you are getting the 250 gallon tank. :)

you need to go as big as you can now not just start with smaller to larger you will end up spending more money that way. 3 goldfish alone need a 40 gallon, you say you have more fish then go ahead and get the 250 it will save you money in the long run. you may be able to put 3 more goldies in a 250 try what fish you have and see , the goldies will get up to 14" each

Figure on one goldfish for every 20 gallons. That would come to about 12 golds for 250 gallons, 2 for a 55, and 5 for a 100, and doesn't include your other fish.
White clouds do better in schools, so 6 or more of them would be better.

I agree COMPLETELY with Okyrah! Goldfish should be in ponds. Assuming you have Common Goldfish, 3 would be the MAXIMUM you could have. With Fancy Goldfish, however, you could have about 10 along with your current fish, and get about 10 more White Clouds and 3 more Cories. Fancy Goldfish only reach about 10 inches while Common Goldfish reach about 2 feet. Email me if you have any questions.

EDIT: The 20 gallons per Goldfish concept only applies to Fancies, not Commons.
