Do you think that it is better to let your emotions show and vent when you feel something is bothering you. Or do you think that you should keep it to yourself and try to be a more positive person?

It is an art, balancing the need to express your frustrations with the need to maintain a certain image to those around you. I would say it comes down to understanding the level of decorum which is necessary in various situations. You must be continuously aware of this.

You can always "vent" as long as you do it at the right time and place...and in front of the right people.

It's funny that you asked that, because lately I have been bottling my emotions, just to see what will happen. There is a lot going on in my life, a lot...., and I'm keeping it all in.
So far so good. However, I find myself to be more jumpy to any contradiction, and any emotion that I am having is about fifty percent more exaggerated then normal. Laughter, sadness, joy, anger.... However, I always try to be more positive. It is relieving to see a person smile.
However, it does feel nice to vent once and a while. Some people like to hear other people vent. When some people leave their emotions all bottled up, they explode, like shaking a bottle of soda. It all depends on the individual's emotional capacity.

Vent them to someone you are really close to like a sister or friend don't keep your emotions bottled up because soon you will explode and it will end badly. I had earlier experiences with something like this.

You should make sure your feelings and information are accurate. If you still feel wronged express it in a positive way. Not in a blaming way.

It can actually effect your health if you keep things bottled up. Problems won't be solved if the other person does'nt know how you feel. If they get po'ed and won't work with you, then you don't need them.
