Several years ago I worked in a nursing home where everyone was having fecal and urinary incontinence and the place just smelled terrible. They used a Vanilla room spray.
Now everytime I smell vanilla, it about gags the life out of me.
Its just totally disgusting. I cannot get over it. Its a total turn off smell.

As long as it's not overpowering, I kind of like it. If it's a mellow vanilla woof it's nice smelling, but if it hangs in the air real strong, it can be irritating, just like any other scent.

i am sure some people r allergic to it but personally i love the smell of vanilla

Real Vanilla, never. But, some of the really artificial scents used in air fresheners and candles do. Those tend to be cloyingly sweet and overpowering!

If this is a candle or other aroma question, they all give me a headache or nauseous after awhile. I'm better simmering cinnamon, cloves and orange peels for awhile

Yes I know several people who can't use vanilla candles .....etc in the vanilla scent......
