I begin my new job on Monday as a paralegal at a medium size (35 people) law firm downtown. The people seem very nice, and said for the first two days they would train me on how to use their computer software and how to answer the phone when a client calls. Any tips on how to make a great impression on these people. This will be my first serious full time job that offers great pay!

Dress professionally and be nice to people. Work hard and don't call of work. Be as helpful as you can. Don't tell too much personal information and always be upbeat. Do not be late for work or do personal things on the job. Good luck to you.

I think also you can give them some suggestions about their software training system, a good way will save the time and cost, and also you will be impressed by the coach.

Wondershare DemoCreator, creates software training and presentation by recording screen, but more than a screen recorder, you can record all the actions taking on the application and then add some tips or instructions to it, even more, you can easily add the narration from microphone or import audio file directly. At last, you can publish it to Flash, auto-run CD, EXE, e-mail, ftp, LMS. As you know, flash file has smaller size and is safer for transmission, i think it will useful for you!
Good luck!
Cheers!

The best way is not to try and make a great impression. People who are always trying to impress people are usually annoying nobodies who will only impress other annoying nobodies (sorry to say it like it is).

Generally the people who get noticed are those who are trying to do their best. Work harder, do more, try your best. Go the extra mile with everything. But do all this in an understated way. The guy who starts work and then tries to do everything, pushing other people out of the way to do it, ends up with no support from anyone.

Generally, if you are doing a good job people will notice you and it will take time.

The best thing is to show a good attitude-- I think you're already doing that in being concerned. Learn quickly, do a good job and get along with others (which can be difficult while working for lawyers!) Good luck!
