If I can share this with you...it's a life lesson I learned a while back...I'm here for God's purpose...and sometimes, it may take years to prepare me for that purpose (hey...look at Moses...40 years before he saw the burning bush).
but I also learned, that every day...is special for me, because I've learned to look for the lesson. Not a day goes by that I haven't learned something about God, who He is, or even more..who He wants me to be.
Now ...temper...whoah!! You're talking to a guy who used to love to live for the weekend so i could go a drinkin' and a cussin and looking for a good fight. Believe me...if you saw me today, you'd see the scars of too many 'bravado" days...
And temper was one of the first things I feel God was working on...did it happen over night? No...am I through learning? Well...I might be a lot more tranquil, but I'm still having to work on it...I'm not Ghandi.
Would be more than happy to pray and ask God to reveal in your heart His purpose for you...and will pray that He brings you through the days of learning, with a sense of knowing He was always with you.

Well....here's why. We are WEAK by ourselves. God said ...." MY strength is made perfect in weakness." 2 Corinth.12:9
He has the strength...WE are weakness. We cannot do things by ourselves. We need God's help...and He has promised to put a new heart in us. Eze. 36:26.
When you go to a gym to build up muscles....they don't just hand you muscles...you have to work out..practice. You can't just "feel" like you want muscles either. Nope...you have to make a CHOICE and work those muscles...grow them. God does give us His strength...but then He tests us...to see if we will be true to Him. He disciplines us. Heb. 12:6. If we cannot pass little tests....we will CERTAINLY fail big ones. He knows how much we can handle too. This is what He says;
" There hath NO temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." 1 Corinth. 10:13
I will pray for you to claim these promises and that God will show you His strength.

Yes, he gives us patience & it makes us stronger in the end. Don't give up on yourself, God hasn't. You have to do whatever it takes to control your temper. Let's start with counting to ten when you get upset. If that doesn't work, go to Anger Management classes. God helps those who help themselves. Maybe God is waiting for you to take the first step, to help yourself. :)

I believe that god does send us trials. I believe we are to use our agency to choose how to handle the situations we are given.
If you find yourself getting really angry, just step away from the situation for a minute. Take a walk, or go outside and scream. Once you cool down a bit, discuss the problem with a friend.

Right now, Mr. Joe, you seem to be hell-bent on "Saving the World".
If you believe in God and Jesus, then you need to remember that this planet is not MAN's planet, it's GOD's planet.
Genesis 1:1 still applies.
Even though it seems our fellow-man is destroying mankind and the planet, God never has and never will allow man to do it - He always steps in and removes the problem people through storms, natural disasters, pestilence, famines, and yes, stupid wars, until somebody gets it right somewhere along the line.
Your job title is not "Savior of the World". I believe that job title has been applied to Jesus Christ, The Savior, who is said to be coming back any day now.
These things happening now are supposed to happen. The war in Iraq, Mr. Bush the Christian, believes this war in Iraq is the next step to Armageddon, after which Jesus Christ will return to Save the World and make things right again. Hate Bush if you must, those of us who look to Jesus are hoping this war in Iraq leads to the return of the Savior, who will usher in the New Millenium and a 1000 years of peace. Other folks here will call me crazy, but at least I still have a shred of hope that Jesus will come very soon and heal what ails all of us.
You need to let go and let this planet be in God's hands, and focus on changing yourself. Let go and forgive those of us who don't agree with you, and let that be okay. Let go of your hatred and learn to love someone else. Let go of your frustrations and let the sins be in the hands solely of those who commit them. Teach repentance, teach forgiveness.
Repent, apologize, forgive those who have hurt you.
Rage begets rage. Love begets love.
Teach that to your son.
Congratulations.

If God is taking time in solving your problem, he might be having the view that you can handle situation well by using your wits. If it is getting over delayed he might be increasing your patience and testing your faith in HIM. Just relax, God is savior to everyone.

Yes He does... as the first answerer replied... keep praying. I'll pray for you as well. Remember, He won't give you any situation He knows you can't handle. Just be strong, call on Him and you'll be able to do anything :-) He is your strength.
