No, he is a spokesman for terrorism. A bully who tries to convince you that all he stands for is good, and that what he believes in is what you should believe in. He is Hate. I also believe that maybe the university should be disciplined in some way. maybe some of their public funding should be pulled for awhile.

Sure. C.U. invited him, and Ours is a land of Free Speech- why not? If you listen to ONLY the people whose opinions you agree with- then you're ignoring three quarters of the rest of the World's! If we want to fully understand how the rest of the World works & feels about things- we need to hear a broad spectrum of diverse Opinion (even some we might not Like). Personally, I don't care for the current President of Iran. But he would be far more dangerous to IGNORE- than to listen to on a podium in N.Y.C.. ! Now people see him for the way he really IS, and they can dismiss him- accordingly.

NO. Bollinger dignified Ahmadinejad by allowing him to think that America was interested in what he had to say. We aren't. We already know that his plans for the future are terrorism and destruction. Why put him on national television, why give him more publicity?
Apparently, Bollinger thought by insulting him, he would completely change his plans to wipe Israel and the U.S. off the map? He was foolish and accomplished nothing. Except maybe fueling the flames of hate by Ahmadinejad's followers.
I do not think that Bollinger's attack was what he planned originally. I think that he got so much heat that he had to change his planned "debate" to an attack, which embarrassing to himself, Columbia University and to America. Perhaps he got the idea for his "Sting Operation" from O.J.?

As far as I know he was extended an invitation by the Universitie's Authorities so the answer would be yes Besides, if you claim freedom of speech as an undeniable right in your country than what better thing than to practise it and allow others to make use of it as well.
You cannnot disagree with someone without knowing where they stand and what their views are first.

Definately, America believes in free speech for all, it should stand up for what it believes in. People should see the hate he spews directly from his own mouth, not second hand, he can't deny they let him speak and he can't pick up support from those who would criticize his censure.
