Hey I had my gorgeous little boy 6 months ago, I feel ok should I start going to gym hard out now to loose the extra weight I still have on me or is it unrealistic to expect to be back in shape 6 months after a c-section?. I didnt breastfeed either. I just find it hard to leave my little man to go to the gym each arvo when my husband gets home also we do go walking as a "family" each day. I have a very weak knee so what are some good things to do at the gym???

I breast feed and have an 8 month old, and I still have around 6-8 pounds left.

A c-section is going to take longer, even more so if you dont breastfeed. If you were healthy before pregnancy your body will naturally want to go back there, just give it the time to do it.

I had my daughter 13 months ago. I had packed on 60 plus pounds with her. when i came home with her i was only lighter by 6 lbs.. thats how much my daughter weighted in at. I watched what i ate. Nothing after 8pm. Smaller plates i ate off of so i knew i could not have more then my eyes could eat or i should. New years day i was 30 lbs away from my pre prago weight and made my goal by my daughters first b-day to be my pre-prago weight. And I did it.. :) lost over 60 lbs just watching what i ate and had my BIG meal in the afternoon and more like a snack at dinner time. So the answer is yes everyone is different but you can drop the weight if you really want to. 6 months i was still not at my goal. Side note i did not work out at a gym to drop the weight. I walked more with my daughter and would walk around the house picking stuff up with her in my arms.. we play alot.. :) Good luck on your weight loss I know you'll do it..

Girl, 6 months isn't much time at all. Breast feeding would have helped you loose alittle more but keep doing what you are doing. Having a c section will slow down the wait loss process because a c section can take you to a year to completely heal. So don't worry. I think cardio work outs are the best to do. You get a full body work out that way and sit ups. Good luck.

Just so you know, no matter what you do, your body will never be the same after having a baby, especially after a c-section. I'm sure you can work hard and get in great shape, but there will probably always be that little bit of lose skin...

It took you almost 10 months to gain the weight, give yourself that long to take it off!
