Thank everyone! I appreciate all your honest opinions. I am not naming a child any of these. I really just like to see which names are 'in' and which are 'out'. I found a list of names on here that said they were the new names for 2008. These are all of the list!

Kersti and Taryn are ok, but the boy names are not very good.

I love the name Taryn! My sister is expecting a baby girl in December and that's what she's planning on naming her. Same spelling too!
I like Josiah for a boy, better than August. Not keen on Kersti, particularly with the way you are pronouncing it.

You want honest answers? None of the names are good names. Why don't you find some popular names! Follow some famous persons name - you want to use the winner's names! Do not listen to the most suitable name for 2008 - Who told the fortune teller those names are suitable?! Good Luck!

Kersti - A different spelling would be better for me.. 5

I really like Taryn, Kersti is kind of cute, I like August, but I'm not crazy about Josiah.

Josiah is darling for a boy, and Taryn is cute for a girl. Kersti with pronounciation shown would be difficult for teachers and so on, once she hits school age. Good luck it's a tough decision.

i like Taryn! Kirsti would be a better spelling. Josiah is a nice boy's name, but i think August is a girl's name.

Taryn = nice girls name
Kersti = looks misspelled
August = it's a month, go with Augustus instead
Josiah = great if you are a religious family

i know some one named Taryn but i really dont care for the name.Kersti i do not care for this either,sorry.i prefer Augustus with Gus as a nick name.i do not care for Josiah so much either maybe Jasper instead?

Taryn's cute, I like August too.
