Just how do you put a value on "freedom"?, and how do you judge that value?
Our freedoms were quaranteed by the bill of rights and the constitution of the United States, as many good men fought and died for these freedoms, only to have many of our past and especially the present politicians take them away.
Our men fighting and dying in Iraq today, are NOT fighting to preserve our freeedoms as some would claim, but are entangled in Bushes personal, political war. The Iraq people have not presented any threat to our existance and did not have anything to do with 9/11.
Our biggest threat to our security and loss of freedoms come from within our own government, from the president on down, not from any outside source or country.

What is freedom. Freedon of speach. Freedom to protest. Freedom of travel even freedom to ask questions here. Americans and most of the free world enjoy these rights.Unfortunatly there are some countries that do still do not have these rights. Just thank your lucky stars that you are American

Freedom is so important to me as an American that even though I love peace, I will sacrifice, and conduct war with a saddened heart but a steady and true purpose.

Freedom is everything to a human. Religions and governments that take it away should have those they subjugate rise up and destroy their oppressors.

11 year US Navy veteran. I am a civilian now and enjoying exercising all my rights and benefits. To all those that went before me, served with me, and all those that will serve after me ... I salute you and stay strong. I don't agree with some of the wars the US has fought, but those in the military don't get to make that distinction. We have codes and rules of conduct we are/where supposed to follow and most do. The politicians say go and we go. If you swear the oath, fulfill it ... if you think you might have a problem with fighting what you think is a immoral war, file for consciencious objector status or just don't enlist.

Enough that I've been deployed to Iraq twice...a year each time. And I'm about to go for a third time. Good enough?
