Jon Kitna is an above-average quarterback in a good system (Mike Martz Offense) with 4 really good wide receivers.

No way.
Kitna, like about 60% of all NFL QBs, has the arm to put up good numbers each week.
What enables a guy lik Kitna, or Warner, Hassselback, or Big Ben, or many others to do well is the line and the system.
Kitna is good enough to thrive in Martz's offense, just like Trent Green did and just like Kurt Warner did and just like Bulger did. That offense is an excellent offense for passers. The receivers run excellent routes and the QB throws almost every down. Detroit's line isn't that bad. The Falcons -- that is a bad line.
Kitna is merely a function of that system, and there are a boatload of QBs that could equal those numbers if given the same system.
Brady and Manning are in an entirely different league. Unlike Kitna, their talent produces numbers. Talent around them or the system just takes them from all-pro to hall of fame status. While both still need a decent line, they don't need much else.

I do not think he is. There are too many better QB's in the league right now. Try Manning, Favre, Roethlesberger, Brady and Romo.
He has a way to go. He can not even hold a title like that until he he can consistant and produce all the time.
Kitna had a decent line in Cincy, but he lost out to Palmer.

uh ... no.
I hate the Patriots and the Colts, but even I will say that Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are better quarterbacks than Jon Kitna.

If he can get the Lions to 10 wins this season I will have to say he has accomplished more than Brady or Manning this season - but really, as a Lions fan you're telling me you wouldn't rather have Manning or Brady as the QB there?
