Perhaps you should listen to the entire audio clip. Him mentioning Italians was acknowledging the ethnic difference between an American (white) Restaurant and an Italian restaurant. He didn't proceed to say that he would be shocked if he didn't see the Mob (a la The Sopranos) sitting down to dinner talking about they'd just offed Vinny and rolled him out in a ditch a few miles back. That would then make his comments offensive.

And since you want to be "cute" and exclude all that he actually said, I'll tell you what was offensive...

What was offensive about his comments was him stereotyping an entire race by what he see's in a Rap video.

What was offensive is him saying that "black people are starting to think for themselves" as if we haven't been able to do so in the past.

What was offensive is his expectations that going into a black restaurant meant that he was going to see people saying, "M'fer bring me some ice tea."

What was offensive is that he seemd "shocked" that while attending an Anita Baker concert, the black people who attended were well dressed. (Note: he didn't mention that the white people were well dressed as well - it's just a natural expectation for him)

So here's the bottom line, you can pick and choose what he did and didn't say to make your argument look better and come across as ignorant, or you can consider the comments in their entirety and come across as informed.

The choice is yours.

eWho the hell is Bill O'Reily. Swearing anywhere in a public place is offensive and not necessary. Only people who can't think of anything better to say have to swear. I have not read what he said about Italians but swearing on its own is not racist but just pure ignorant

You know how Blacks in America have power more than White in America? That's the truth.
You can't say or think about saying anything offensive to Blacks or you will suffer the consequences.
A few months ago, Imus was fired over a joke that involves blacks. So, I hope Bill O'Reilly be careful of what he said or he would be fired by the power of Black people.
The Blacks are whining a lot these days especially about Jena and Michael Vicks. You know Michael Vicks is guilty, but Blacks want him to be innocent and drop the charges. They want the 6 teenagers to be released from prison even though they are guilty of assaults.

Ah, the unanswerable argument: if you disagree, you are one of The Enemy.

I'll take a thousand O'Reillys rather than 1 Steven C. The latter is far more dangerous to rational thought.

I think Steven would have gone very far under Hitler in 1940s Germany.

Anything that Bill O'Reily says- is NOT to be taken seriously. He's an entertainer- NOT a newsman. So don't let him get under your skin. :)

Bill O'reilly is a racist, anyone who is not racist should be able to see that.

I don't waste time trying to analyze his every word, because I know a racist when I see one, I don't need additional evidence.
