She may be mature, but that doesn't mean she's ready for violence and gore and foul language. At 10 girls begin to question who they are and learn about the world. That's when they begin to cuss and tell sexual jokes. It's an easily influenced age - though they think they are the top of the world. I'm in college and I can assure you, she's not too old for Disney, because most of us watch it, too. Likely she's feeling peer pressure and you need to monitor that, because if she's going to lose her virginity before marriage it'll probably be between 13 and 16. It's not necessary to make her watch only PBS, and I think some PG-13 shows are fine, like Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. But consider what she's being exposed to in some of the other shows - do you really want her to see half-naked people or intense make-out scenes? Do you want cursing to be added to her daily vocabulary and gore to thrill her? Some movies are rated PG-13 for a reason. Let me warn you about noggin - it's designed for teenagers. 10 is still a child, regardless of what she believes. The show Degrassi involves social situations a teenager would be put in - like pre-marital sex and pressure to do drugs or drink. It's also one big soap drama. Now I personally know that there's nothing wrong with Sabrina, but I do think it's important for you to view what she's going to watch 1st. Remember, this is a critical stage in her life.

it depends on what she likes. if she likes crime and justice type shows then she can watch A&E. If she likes comedies and a movie here and there then she can watch TBS. if she likes history and historical movies then she can watch The History Channel (i dont know if thats only in canada.) Does she like to cook? Then she would like The Food Network.

Its up to whatever shes interested in, but only you can determine if the content of shows on these channels are appropriate for her.
