When someone says it they mean that only God can know what happened, was in, was said, ect. Some examples:

Only God-knows-what was in the school meatloaf.

Only God-knows-what he actually told her.

Only God-Knows-What she did on vacation in Mexico.

Oh, and whenever you write God, you always capitalize the G. Also when you are talking about God or Jesus and say call him "Him" you always capitalize the H.

It is a term that means what will happen next ? Only God knows. When you say God knows,it gives way to numerous things usually pertaining to events that will happen in the near future based on past perfomances of any given thing or person.

It means, Even I don't know. It is usually used when someone says, what do you mean by that, or why did you say that. A person saying, God knows, can be using this for an excuse for a dumb statment or comment!
