Dear Pepsi,
I've recently encountered a problem whilst attempting to purchase a beverage from one of your vending machines. The problem encountered was the following; the tastey beverage I paid for was not the tastey beverage I recieved. I put in a $1.00 amount and clicked the button water, though I recieved a watermelon fruit drink. I am angered and believe an apology is in order.

Sincerely,
Olivia

Its not Pepsis fault, its the vending machine owners fault.

This letter is fine. Except the word should be "Tasty" not Tastey. Also, grammatically speaking, "clicked the button water" is also incorrect. Proper wording should read: "Clicked the button, marked 'Water'." Other than these very minor errors, the letter is fine.

As for the machine's operation itself. This was a case of simple human error. The person stocking the machine is at fault and so is the vending machine's route owner. There is usually a toll free number posted on the front of the machine itself. This is the number used to report any malfunctioning machine.

As for Pepsi itself. They will most likely send you coupons good for either a free beverage or two that you can redeem at any supermaket. Or coupons good towards future purchases.

And a note to "The Trooper", who first answered this question. Yes. Pepsi does indeed bottle water. They make Aquafina.

I really think you need to let it go. I doubt they are going to reimburse you for 1 dollar. The stamp you're gonna use will cost 41 cents. Might as well keep it and not lose $1.41.

Good job. You might get a replacement coupon or a six pack. It's good public relations even if it wasn't directly their fault.
