recently replaced radiator, due to overheating from missing thermostat. replaced thermostat and overheating worsened. removed thermostat replaced only housing w/out thermostat. made gasket. leaking water from around housing when filling the radiator

Either your gasket didn't work or you cracked the thermostat housing. Did you clean both surfaces real good? Did you use a small amount silicone sealer? Is it coming from the gasket area or the hose? Just some thoughts.

check the housing and check the termostat gasket fill the car up with water and run it till it normal temp look under the hood if u see where the water is comming from
