Sorry, it appears you have some mistake here. There is NO word in ENGLISH with "cagn" in it.

Perhaps you're thinking of "cogn" -- which is actually originally two parts - co + gno(scere), "to know", as in:

incognito
precognitive
recognizance
recognize
