You are assuming that one would go to hell if they shot a burglar.
While we are not supposed to choose to kill others, your comment assumes that in all cases, God would send a person to hell for killing another human being.

So, you are condemning all our soldiers to hell!

I believe that, when our young men go to war, they are not going to hell if they have to kill enemy combatants. However, I also believe that God (and Allah) WILL condemn all the terrorists and others who willfully chose to target innocents (non-combatants) to intentionally kill them.

I believe that God forgives us if we have to kill someone who is trying to kill us in order to save our own lives.

You don't know my religion. And it is YOU who have tried to twist scripture to justify passing judgment on the rest of us, and you will have to answer to God for judging us when it is ONLY GOD who has the right to judge us.

You forgot a couple of well known phrases which I believe are also from the bible, or from well known religious teachings.
Let him who is without sin cast the first stone.
God helps those who help themselves.
Beware of judging others, lest you too be judged.

In your scenario, I'd be most likely to play dead, but if disabling or killing my attacker was the only way to survive, I believe God would forgive me for hurting another in order to save my own life.

And it's NOT your right to ban me to Hell for that. Who elected YOU God???

Wow did you twist and put a spin on that one. First off just because a burglar shoots someone doesnt mean that the person who got shot and killed will go to heaven. Thier is more involved in gettting into heaven than getting shot by a burglar. Second if the burglar trys to harm my son he's a dead man. Third if he shoots you and gets away to shoot again how much good have you done?

Fourth you somehow ended up in the wrong category. Take that as a clue about your reasoning skills.

That is so ridiculous are you truly a believer? Do you really read your bible?

Then in your bible you will see that God had his hands in a lot of deaths and victory's for whom he chose to be victorious. You have sayings such as,>>> I will deliver you into the hands of your enemies and there they will devourer you, >>>> I will lead you against the spoilers whom have turned your eyes away from me and you will destroy the spoilers who have done this(to destroy meant to kill).

So, have you thought about if you had saved your own life by killing an intruder in your life, that it may have been God who helped to save you? Sounds like you worship a weak God, the God I know is all powerful and all knowing.

Also, as a precautionary warning, please don't add or subtract from the doctrine of God. Ask your local Pastor what to do in this case, if he tells you to allow the burglar to kill you. Then so be it, or change to a old time preaching church that is, praise-giving, bible-believing, foot-stomping, House of God.

Final note: If you read and understand the Book of Revelations you would know that God has forecast all of the events of time, which includes nations rising against nations. Also, that with His instructions to the ones He chose even Moses, they all killed, would that mean that they are all condemned to hell.....I think not! Why did he also chose the Jews as his chosen people, they were actualy and according to the Word of God guilty of killing Jesus, by handing him over to be crucified and saving a murderer instead of the Son of God. All because Jesus had said that he was the Son of God and the King of the Jews. No puns intended!

Now where in the Bible does God take a stand against defending your life and the lives of your families against an invader? From what i have read he is against the killing of innocent people. A man breaking into my home is not innocent. I have no idea what he wants to do, he might be a burglar or he might be a child molestor or serial killer. If its his life or the life of my 11 yo son I know the decision I will make.

Go to heaven. Though I am not firmly convinced in the existance of a heaven or hell, I certainly would choose Heaven over hell. I'm sure my family and friends would understand this.

David Koresh is that you? I thought the ATF had killed your wacko butt in Waco?

Who gave you the authority to speak on God's behalf? Are you also a divine prophet? Absolutely not you are a condemner to those who seek to learn God's Word and only time will they have understanding and compliance to it.

Also go read your bible, ask God for understanding of it, and ask Him to forgive you for this.

SCENARIO: A hostage situation where a fanatic is strapped with a bomb in a pre-school filled with a 100 children intending on killing all, the police and SWAT are sent out to take care of this, to save the children they kill the would-be bomber. Do they all go to hell as well?

Change your church or go to church, I really don't know what you are implying here. But, it sure sounds stupid and if you are going to church learning this, may God have mercy on all of the congregations souls if they all speak like you.

IF ANYTHING IS TWISTED HERE IN Y!A's - IT IS ONLY YOUR MIND AND INTERPRETATION OF GOD's WORD. GET OFF MOMMY'S COMPUTER LITTLE BOY AND PICK UP YOUR BIBLE AND START READING IT TO UNDERSTAND HIS WORD. THIS IS CALLED BLASPHEMY AND YOU CAN GO TO HELL FOR IT. KNOCK IT OFF!

One cannot be condemned for defending one's precious gift of life from God.
And those who would harm the lives of others by breaking the Commandments(Thou shalt not steal, for example) cannot claim Justice from God.
Perhaps you should figure out what religion truly is before your twisted version of Scripture brings anarchy to all of us... Osama, is that you?

God does not deny Heaven to those who have become His children. (Romans 8) It is our relationship with Him as children of God. To shoot or not shoot a burglar --- is not a factor.
