DEFEND myself from an attacker (and be praised as a HERO for protecting my LOVED ONES) - or just stand there like a moron, and start spouting bible verses as he pumps me full of lead...
I think that I would choose the FIRST option - even if things went horribly wrong (like being arrested for shooting a man), at least I wouldn't be worm food ;););)

I think your response is very unsettling, because you are expressing your opinio9n about god. Personally, when i first read this, i imediantly thought that you are questioning god and his authority. Now please exect my apolagy if i am wrong. To continue your "question" i would rather get to meet the reason i am alive, god, and go to heaven. Rather than give into Saten's foolish acts a sin. If you shoot, you just gave into his "temptation" and therefor have not followed out one of your duties as a christian. Go to church. Ask for forgivness, if you truly accept Jesus and accept him and your purpose in life, God will forgive you, as it says in the bible and several church sermons. Pray.

Jesus died to save our sins....God is a forgiving God...He knows people's hearts and souls and wouldn't punish someone for protecting themselves and their families. Do you KNOW God? Obviously not!
