Of course, I start all statements by saying that I'm not a doctor.

Now, on to the glucophage. Glucophage was originally used (and still most commonly used) for individuals with diabetes to help lower the blood sugar. It works with the insulin and also the way your body processes sugar. For some women, particularly those with PCOS, Glucophage is used to help reduce the insulin resistence (which is a common complication with the diagnosis) and sometimes that very act alone can increase their ability to ovulate due to this improvement in insulin resistence and sometimes weight loss. I don't see why, if you're taking a birth control to prevent ovulation, that you'd ovulate just because of the glucophage given its intention.

I'd suggest going to webmd and reading all about how it works, if you're really interested. You can also call your pharmacy about drug interactions. This is not one I've heard of, but as I am not a doctor I am also not a pharmacist. Hope this information helps.

Ask your doctor or a pharmacist.
