Dave Grohl slammed Paris Hilton as a "lazy party ****" this week. That's what gets on the news usually, instead of Darfur in Africa, where there have been over 400,000 tragic, needless, genocide deaths ... and counting!
God said LOVE your neighbour, as much as yourself, AND even your enemy...but HATE SIN!!! Love Paris but do not imitate her bad behaviour, for God's sake!!!
A recent opinion article in the New York Times criticized death toll estimates for Darfur that we have quoted. The article misses a critical point in the debate over how many people have actually died.
These mortality estimates cannot be verified or updated because the Government of Sudan actively denies the international community (including diplomats, humanitarian workers, and epidemiology experts) real access to the Darfur region to count the ethic cleansing victims.

News is ratings oriented. So the only planes you will see have crashed, although airlines are safer than cars for safety, according to what I've heard.
This goes for racial profiling of Arabs, who only make the news if they're terrorists.
And the image of the black man as criminal, that white folks see daily on "action news"!
A black man is only on TV because he "offed" his beautiful white wife and an immocent "good samaratan" waiter, who just tried to return glasses she had left behind at his restaurant!

The rainy season which started in June, is just ending this week!
Yesterday, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has pledged to push for lasting peace in the Middle East, and an end to the conflict in Darfur in the coming year!
The country was left a war-torn wasteland after a horrific genocide devastated the nation mainly a dozen years ago, from April and June, 1994, when an astounding 800,000 were brutally murdered.

The U.N. "GOE" compiled recommendations on Darfur this summer, and has been working with the government of Sudan to foster their implementation. Human Rights Watch urges that the Council look at a number of concrete actions which could contribute to immediate changes on the ground in Darfur.
Many are actions Sudan has said it is already taking.
