First you have to get one variable available. To do this you subtract or add the lowest variable on each side
-36 + 2w = -8w + w -------- simplify to get
-36 + 2w = -7w -------add -7w to both sides to get
-36 + 9w = 0 -- ----- then you have to isolate the variable
9w = 36 ------ add 36 to both sides and to continue to isolate the variable, divide both sides by 9 to get
w = 36/9 = 4
4p-10= p + 3p-2p ------simplify to get
4p-10 = 2p subtract the lower value
2p-10=0 isolate the variable
2p= 10 isolate the variable
p = 5

For the First equation :
-36+2w = -8w+w
-36= -8w+w-2w
-36= -9w
w= -36/-9
w=4
For the Second equation:
4p-10 = p+3p-2p
-10 = p+3p-2p-4p
-10 = -2p
p = -10/-2
p = 5
Basicly, you have to unite the p variable with p variable, and let it the numbers without variable separate on the beside.
Easy right? Try it..

-36 + 2w = -8w +w
2w +8w - w = 36
9w = 36
w = 4
check:
-36 + (2 x 4) = (-8 x 4) + 4
-36 +8 = -32 + 4
28 = 28
and
4p - 10 = p + 3p -2p
-10 = p + 3p - 2p - 4p
-10 = -2p
10 = 2p
5 = p
Check
(4 x 5) -10 = 5 + (3 x 5) - (2 x 5)
20 - 10 = 5 + 15 - 10
10 = 10

First equation:
-36 + 2w = -8w + w
gather all the w's together on one side (the right side seems easiest)
-36 = -8w + w - 2w
then add them
-36 = -9w
divide both sides by -9
4 = w
for the second equation, solve it the same way
group the p's to the right side
-10 = p+3p -2p -4p
add the p terms
-10 = -2p
divide both sides by -2p
5 = p
That's all!

-36 + 2w = -8w + w
Combine like terms first.
-36 + w = -7w
subtract w from both sides
-36 = -8w
4.5 = w
4p - 10 = p + 3p -2p
4p - 10 = 2p
-10 = -2p
5 = p
I hope this could help.

move the w to the left and the number to the right:
2w + 8w - w = 36
9w = 36
w = 4
similarly
4p - 10 = 2p
so 2p = 10
p = 5

-36 + 2w= -8w + w
1. you add the -8w with positive w equals -7w
-36 + 2w= -7w
2. you bring the 2w over making it turn to -2w, then add the -7w and -2w
-36=-9w
3. divide them both by -9 equals
4 = w
4p - 10 = p + 3p - 2p
1. add the p and 3p together= 4p then you subtract 2p from 4p equals 2p
4p-10 = 2p
2. you bring the 4p over turning it to -4p + 2p = -2p
-10 = -2p
3. Then divide -2 from each side
5 = p

-36 + 2w = -8w +w
From here solve the right side to get:
-36 + 2w = -7w
You can now subtract 2w on both sides
-36 + 2w = -7w
-2w -2w
-----------------------
-36 = -9w
Divide -9 on both sides
-36/-9 = -9w/-9
----------------
4 = w
4p - 10 = p + 3p - 2p
Solve the right side again to simplify it down
4p - 10 = 2p
Go ahead and subtract 4p on both sides
4p - 10 = 2p
-4p -4p
--------------------
-10 = -2p
Divide -2 on both sides
-10/-2 = -2p/-2
5 = p

For increasing cubic binomials the final formula is as follows: (a + b) ^ 3 = a^3 + 3*a^2*b^a million + 3*a^a million*b^2 + b^3 on your case, a is x and b is -y^5 So (x - y^5)^3 = x^3 + 3*x^2*(-y^5)^a million + 3*x^a million*(-y^5)^2 + (-y^5)^3 Simplified: =x^3 - 3x^2*y^5 + 3x*y^10 - y^15 :D

Use the tornado style
-36+2w=-7w
9w=36
36/9
w=4
4p-10=2p
2p=10
p=5
First get all variables to one side, and then get all the numbers to one side so that you can easily get what the variable equals!
GOOD LUCK!
