That's your motherboard and it supports x16 PCIe. It could last a year on XP or more on Vista if you just double the RAM. You could also consider the Pentium D945 3.4ghz or D960 3.6ghz as an upgrade path especially if you find good bargains. Some video card options:
Cheap= 7300GT ddr3 or 8400GS (bang for the buck DX10)

Better= 8600GT (esp. the factory overclocked versions).

Probably not, for the most part its already outdated.

Dont get the wrong idea though, computers move fast and things that come out one month will be outdated in another month. For right now the best thing you can do is upgrade your hard drive and your processor (especially the processor) and thatll last you a year or two depending on what you buy.

Go for a 7 series Geforce or a X1600 or better ATI card.

Its not Vista capable. But if you are not upgrading the OS, it would do fine for another year or more if you dont have trouble with it. A good video card (depening on what you want) would be any Raedon or NVidia at least 256mb onboard RAM. This should do fine for most games.

It will be good for a year. Any PCI-ExpressX16 that doesn't require a bigger power supply will do. A year from now the DirectX10, Vista, DX10 video cards and DDR3 will be more mature and the 45nm cpus will be out long enough to be reasonably priced.

i think you're fine with your specs, your p4's not too slow, you could use at least 2 gb of memory but other than that it seems fine

if you want to make your computer to go faster, back up all your music, pics, docs and stuff and then clean install XP (formats hard-drive so your computer is like new)

go with a nvidia (xfx, evga, bfg, etc.) 8800 gts or 8600 gts

the 8800 gtx only if you have $500 dollars to bust.
