Check book sales and movie grossing... Harry Potter Series is the fastest and best selling series ever. It's definitely more popular. Teens, adults, and small children all love the Harry Potter series. Twilight is mostly only getting a young teen girls fan base. Harry Potter has a huge variety. It hasn't knocked Harry Potter off the list. The last Harry Potter book has been out for almost a year now. "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" has sold over 50 million copies in less than a year. The whole twilight series hasn't sold that much. The whole "Harry Potter Series" has sold over 400 million copies worldwide in 10 years. As for the movies. We'll see what the new "Twilight" movie grosses and what the "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince" grosses worldwide. Considering Harry Potter is the BIGGEST movie franchise in history, I believe it will out-gross it. The first 5 movies have grossed a combined $4.5 billion. Good luck "TWILIGHT" Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone 10 Year Anniversary Book comes out September 23, 2008! It is going to have bonus material from J.K. Rowling. 11 pages of it. I can't wait. How about you? ~ People...The question says, "What do you think the most POPULAR books series is." NOT..What you like the best. Lookup sales and movie grossings. That will tell you how many people buy it and therefore must like it.

You might like these:

A Great and Terrible Beauty and Rebel Angels by Libba Bray is really good too. It's part fantasy, mystery, and romance. The Third one is coming out in December.

Abarat and the sequel Abarat Days of magic nights of war by Clive barker is an awesome series too, and i don't really like the sci-fi, but this is more fantasy/adventure.

Anything by Sarah Dessen, i love her books because it deals with real teenage situations today.

The uglies trilogy by Scott westerfield are also really good, and again i don't like sci-fi, but i really loved these books and the 4th is coming out soon.

♥♥ Looking for Alaska and An Abundance of Katherines by john green aren't a series but their really awesome books, they are a close favorite, but nothing can compare to Twilight.

And The Goose Girl and Enna Burning by Shannon hale are Fantastic too!! part fairy tale/fantasy, and part love story.

And the Wee Free men

Harry Potter of cousre!!

Eragon and Elder

the Warrior series by Erin Hunter it's about worrior cat clans, it might sound kinda lame, but they are really good!!

Inkheart and inkspell by Cornelia funke

Crushed and Crooked by Laura Mcneal and Tom Mcneal

The Golden Compass, The Subtle knife, and the Amber Spyglass by Philip Pullman

A series of unfortunate events

try midnighters, or anything else by scott westerfield. peeps is also really good. it's about vampires...sorta. and the midnighters series is about time freezing at midnight and the monsters that come out then, and saving the world and all that good stuff. (by the same author). and i promise both those books are Waaaay better then my summaries of them...
the twighlight series is also good, but kinda girly...
and some of the stuff by mercedes lacky is really good. (but be warned, she has so much stuff written that some of it isn't that great)
also, a book called "hung out". more sci-fi ish. no magic or anything, but it's a pretty good read.
and for comedy you MUST read terry pratchett (he's an author) books.
hope at least one of those helps. (and the best of those listed are the ones by scott westerfields. try them, they're good)
