How much dirt is there in a hole a foot long, a foot deep, and a

There is no dirt in the hole! You removed the dirt and now you have 1 cubic foot of air in its place.

I would agree with the answer that there is no dirt in a hole...it is empty. Now, if you had asked about how much space you have then I think your answer would be 3 cubic feet.

Tatchi...I think that the description was of a space that is cube in shape and not cylindrical.

Considering it's a hole, it should be a cylinder shape. Using the formula pi r squared times height, it would be 1/2 squared times 1 times pi.

0.785 feet cubed?
