I think gay jokes are funny. Most of the stereotypes of gay people are true for a lot of gays making the jokes even funnier.

Laughing can be a nervous reaction to a very uncomfortable situation. Gays are conditioned from early on to feel uncomfortable with their sexuality, and it sticks with many of them for life.
