what is the point of life?

Despite hating it or not, you are still living it until you don't. You are a semi-trapped observer and whether you like the show or not you are in it until you are taken out (as through death or loss of consciousness).

To me, the point of life is to just observe and experience it. That doesn't mean I do nothing. I do whatever I'm driven to do. I feel whatever I feel; but, ultimately, I understand that at the deepest core of me that I'm just observing and experiencing it all -- the joy, the sadness, the struggle, the enlightenment, the hate, the love, the pain, the happiness, the gains, the losses, and the coming and passing of every moment. That's what I believe the core of who we are -- our souls -- are here for: the observation, the experience.

And, you are given the incredible freedom to hate or enjoy it. Once I completely understood that, I took that as a challenge to find how to enjoy it all completely. Yeah. SOOO not there yet. LOL. But I'm a lot more happy than I've ever been. But, that was my decision to do because I couldn't stand the negativity anymore. Someone else may be just fine with hating everything and that's their choice.

You'll never find the answer on here, sorry to say. The meaning of life can't be put into words because it's specific to each person. The meaning of life to me, is almost certainly different then it may be for you (if you ever find out what lfi means to you). As for hating life, I can relate, and I think just about everyone on Earth can to. Life's not pleasant is it? I find sometimes all the the small fleeting joy that life brings is hardly worth it, for the amount of heartache, sorrow and pain I feel at times. I guess you just have to hope you wind up happy someday. I'm holding on to that belief. I'm not happy, but I don't hate life at the moment either. Good luck.

To seek pleasure. I say I hate life a lot, but you need to take advantage of the amazingness of life in itself. An actual living, breathing being is you, and to waste it is bad.
Others say the point of life is to worship God, and I do agree with that, but with that comes pleasure, again.

To LIVE! ... experience, explore, consume, enrich, beget.

Or, you could sit in front of a computer screen and whine about how you hate life... your choice!
