Like the line in that song by the group Meatloaf says, '' I'm praying for the end of time." Does that sound like I'm afraid of death? I'm actually looking forward to my death. Even so, there are uncertainties about what happens after death...I hope that I just evaporate after I die...for those people who believe in reincarnation...I would not ever want to be born again onto this stupid planet...if God was a loving God, then a gentle evaporation of any souls that no longer want to keep being put on this planet just to suffer and then to end in death would be the best solution.

No. I had a near death experience. What we call death is a transition to another dimension. That dimension is peace, calm and love beyond my power to describe it. These experiences are considered to be authentic by those who have been there for there is no way that the human brain--the human nervous system-- could invent or evolve such a thing. Articulating it is like trying to get your words around terms like "billions of galaxies." The only thing I fear is droning on in a nursing home or some such crap, with no fresh air or friends or freedom/

No, in fact I don't think anyone should, becuase were all going to die one day. It coul'd be today, or tommorow, or on you're birthday. Only god knows. And what is there to be afraid of? Unless you die a very miserable death, youu have nothing to worry about. If anyone should be afraid it should be death itself...

Not afraid. I don't want to miss seeing my family and friends but I'm not afraid of death. I would prefer not to die but I'm not scared.
Death and taxes are the only things guaranteed in life.

No. Death will be nothing, just like before I was born, so nothing to fear. I fear dying a slow painful death eg cancer but this only enters my head very rarely as it is a waste of my minds time. Life is what I focus on, my win in this genetic lottery to spend some time on this planet and have such a wonderful family and friends.

that doesnt make sense, life is great, but time goes on even after death, your loss will change peoples lives but time moves forwards. i cannot fear death, at all, it sounds like a great palace and at its worst it sounds like a great sleep. and for sure i am not going to hell, screw that. death is not something to be afraid of, it should be celebrated and embraced because all things work out well in the end

I was conceived and born defying death. All my life I have defied death and will continue to defy death until the day I die.
Since I was an impossibility from conception to present, than every day I have is another blessing and when those days are done, I get to go to another dimension of life.
A great read... Johnathan Livingston Seagull

Honestly, yes. I think it's a physiological thing in the same way as bodily feelings such as pain are the body's way of surviving. It's natural. Of course most of the times I'm not really thinking about it, but if it came down to it and I was confronted with my death I would be scared.

No, I am not afraid of death because I do not believe that "I" actually die. MY body lies at rest while my soul is present with my LORD. The one thing I am afraid of is leaving my children and my husband behind without me to care for them.

Not of death itself, but how it will occur and the pain I may have to endure plus how my family will deal with life when I am gone.
My kids lost their dad in 2002 and it was quite a heartache. Looking back at it, it was quite a shock and although we lived through it and continued on, I know I have been a huge reason they have been able to deal with the difficulties of their father's death.
