I think the president of Iran is in denial about the existence of "alternative lifestyles" in Iran. As we are all by now well aware, thanks to philosophers and scholars, the guy is a little made-up, harmless boogey-man, unfairly demonized by the Bush administration. Shouldn't we organize a few thousand from the GBLT community to go over there and DEMAND equal rights for those social outcasts in Iran? Could we take the next pride parade from San Francisco and have it in sunny and peaceful Tehran?

Good question - a little levity never hurt this forum, that's for sure.
Odds are, the men would be executed and the women would be stoned to death.
Ummmmm......perhaps then the liberals might reconsider their opinion of Ahmadinejad. Perhaps.

I think that's a great idea. Not the parade, I hate to see any American hurt or killed by a savage dictator. But seriously, where is the outrage from the GBLT community in the U.S.? You would think they would at least be pointing out how terrible Iran's policy is towards GBLTs (it would have been a low risk, high profile event had they done this yesterday and today in New York). But I guess since the President of Iran is an enemy of the U.S., he is a hero of all Liberals and they are willing to overlook this minor transgression.

No one needs a Pride parade.
That is the stupidest thing that ever was.
I don't have a problem with gays, I just have a problem about them sticking their beliefs out in front of me.
Everyone just needs to mind their own business and keep it to themselves.
I don't go around telling everyone my sexual business, so why do they want to?
Maybe I'll go to Iran or San Fran and start up a over 50s fat girls parade. Think any of the gays would support that?
No one probably.

Maybe he's not aware of gays in Iran because the ones that are there aren't so immature to need to wear their sexuality on their sleeves like in this country.
Although, the prospect of the foot fetish "community" getting THEIR own pride parade, does make my toes tingle!

This clown just opened the door for the Israelis.

If they were to have a gay pride march thru downtown Jeruselem, the Hollywood types would be falling over themselves to make a movie about it and every stinkin Marxist media outlet would be there to cover it.

And the world would suddenly love Israel.

On the CNN news they had a speaker who said bi-sexuality is rampant in Iran due to the seperation between men and women.

while it would be interesting... I don't think it would turn out very well...

and I thought that pretty much everyone thinks he's a threat... how much of a threat is up to debate... the Hitler accusations are a little much... he's not as smart or in the "right place at the right time" like Hitler was...

thank goodness...

I think it would be a good idea. He just said that in his country guests were treated with respect.
