You could defiantly be a cheerleader! Being on a squad should be about attitude, talent and ability. Make sure you practice hard for tryouts, develop a good cheer voice, study up on stunting info and jumps (uca.com) and give it your all! I've coached cheerleaders of all shapes, sizes and ages.....and sometimes those tiny skinny ones are not very good at all! :) Good luck!

hmmm i really think you have that extra pounds. In my opinion you should lose about 20 pounds first before cheerleading. Looks are a big factor in cheerleading like it or not since people won't really watch an unattractive cheerleading team:D

20 pounds aint that much , you can do it.

NO YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE SKINNY TO BE A CHEERLEADER!!!!!
you are flexible and they like flexibility if you have fun with cheer then yea they will notice you and really like your work..... i am a "skinny cheerleader" (im the skinniest in my freshman team squad) and i can barely do my splits so yeaaa if you think you are to "fat" to cheer than yeaaa........... hope i helped you...... there are many bigger cheerleaders........ it might be muscle weight tooo......... :]

Well, how are your jumps -- can you do a good toe-touch? Can you do a back handspring? Would you look good in the uniform? If the answer to all 3 of these is "yes", then you have a good chance.

It totally depends on what YOU want, and how bad you want it! The only limits are ones you put on yourself. If others can and have done it, so can you! Practice, persistence, and atitude can make you succeed.
