Have you seen the documentary about the berkley prison study? When people get together they are dominated by "group" mentality. It's amazing what people are capable of doing in group situations under peer pressure.

I'm sure you've been guilty of doing something boneheaded a time or two yourself in a group situation! I know I have...

They show the documentary on the discovery channel and relate it to the Abu Garhib (sp?) prison scandals.

i have an answer for the question but i dont get the point of your details... when smart people get together they make great ideas individually, or in pairs, but they have such high self-esteems and egos that they think their own is the best. with no open mindedness they can resolve this out and will all separate to make their own idea exist. but life happens, could be coincidental, could be pure fate, but when something happens in life, we always move forward in time and another thing is changed by it, i call that fate, i dont know about you

P.S. The major cause of wars is that people believe wars solve problems; instead, they only create new ones.

Boredom. A life of chaos is one way to avoid boredom. Boredom drives many people to thought and to action. Making one's self angry and then acting on the anger is a problem inside of the individual and how they choose to think.

To do that, one would have to put the cause and others before themselves. Most people wouldn't do that.
