I think it's because most Hispanics today still believe in the old spin that the dem's are the party for the poor. Most Hispanics still think they are poor. My mother, on the other hand, votes for democrats because JFK was a democrat. She still thinks all dem's are like JFK.

So you think Latinos' morals include
wiretapping citizens, cutting the budget for America's children, focusing on some farwaway war when there are numerous problems in our own hemisphere that affect us all more sharply.
Fiscally in line with these Repubs now means massive borrowing and spending, spending taxpayers' money to pay for nonsense in Iraq.
If you think the only issues are abortion and people's wild private lives, it's time for you to start reading more with your children.
