It depends on the screen size and the resolution.


Typically from about 50 at low resolutions to about 120 at the higher resolution panels.

that depends on the Monitor.

Apples 30" Cinema dispaly is at 100 pixels per inch.
My Hiresolution MacBook Pro is at roughly 132 pixels per inch.

The accepeted normal for CRT and other monitors is around 72 pixels per inch. It has become the accepted standard to which web design is done. While display technology is getting better all the time, we are still no where near the 300 to 600 dots per inch of print medium.
