The economy is ruined; the military is streched thin and losing manpower by the second; health care is totally screwed up; gas costs WAY too much. Just wondering what everyone elses thoughts are.

Ever notice that high school grads call a person that has a degree from both Harvard and Yale and idiot. And if they were lucky enough to be accepted into college, they would never even have a professor with a degree from both Harvard and Yale.
The Federalists Society Rank presidents every five years by academic Historians that write our history books and teach at our college. The last one ranks Bush higher than Clinton and in fact puts him in 19th place. Carter is one of the lowest living presidents ranked by historians. This is the most respected poll as it reflects what the history books written today reflects.
Most people get their information from political commentaries but not from historians and they then scratch their head years later and wonder what they missed.

First, what kind of phony websites do you get your useless information from?
Second, the economy is not ruined. Prove to all of us that it is.
If you're referring to the housing slowdown, that isn't George W's fault. People can only buy a certain number of houses.
Thirdly, the stretched military isn't all Bush's fault. Our military was cut down far too much after the fall of the Soviet Union. In order to sustain victory in this war on terrorism, we'll need a larger military.
Fourthly, if the health care problem is so bad, than why don't I see long lines of people outside doctor offices trying to schedule an appointment?
Fifthly, the high gas prices are not Bush's fault. Note that India and China are consuming more oil too. And, if we could drill for oil and shale and use nuclear power, you'd see a drop of gas prices too. But the psycho environmentalists won't allow that to happen. Which is crazy, because we have technology that can protect wildlife and the environment.

Frankly because my party isn't capable of properly fighting a war. As a democrat, I am grateful that there are people interested in war and defending this country. I would join them to defend this country, but leading the charge? No, thank you.
The economy is not ruined. We use only a tiny portion of our military in Iraq and Afghanistan (check the figures), health care is fortunately NOT going socialist, yet (I am a democrat, NOT a socialist), and of course gas costs are high.
President Bush DIDN'T go into Iraq to steal the oil, isn't interested in doing it even to save his reputation, and Islam is happy to see how far they can stretch us without having us tap into our own reserves to leave them without a major market.
Of course the prices are high.

I agree with all except the military being stretched to thin.
It is because he has shattered the so called American dream in America that a lot of the younger generation has to join the military to find work so there are plenty of solders to spread around.
