at school people are always taking about varcity football or something,i'm not sure,what it is, is it a league? (i dont want to feel dumb or anything thinking thats the name of our football team or something..)

In my school, Varsity is the highest team in a sport. For instance, in football there is freshman football: freshman only; Junior Varsity: Usually sophomores and Juniors who aren't good enough to be in Varsity yet. Then, Varsity: the top players. Seniors are placed in it automatically.

VarSity is the highest level of competitive play at any group or school sports.
Usually there are three separations in all sports (some just two, and others just varSity). The first level is for the freshman and sophomores (frosh/soph), the next can be a combination of freshman, sophomores, and juniors (Junior Varsity, JV), and the last level is usually your seniors with various other kids who show they have the ability to compete at the highest level.
Varsity is the only thing that matters in the record books. It holds for ALL sports, not just football. And it is spelled with an "s" and not a "c".

i became on the college Volleyball team throughout severe college commencing in ninth grade. Varsity and JV is purely to verify how experienced you're. Varsity regularly purely has the older human beings on it because of the fact they are better and have greater journey. JV is powerful, purely no longer as sturdy as Varsity.
