17" and 19" inch displays have the same resolution.
A lot of people do not like the 17" because the text is just a little too small to see clearly. The extra size of the 19" is going to be better.
They do not last longer, they do not look better.
MAG has been producing screens for a while. I know no reason not to get one.

Usually, the bigger the screen, the better pixel it will be. Thus, u can have better view using the bigger screen. However, it also depends on the model of a computer. However, between 17 and 19 inch flat screens, there is not much different. If, you consider buying for better graphic, opt for 19 inch (after all, the screen is for desktop, right?). But, personally, when I'm choosing for laptop, I'll prefer the smaller screen because it is easier to carry around, and lighter. However, if your dad eyes' sight is not good, obviously, you should choose bigger screen.

when getting a monitor, the first thing to do is always make sure you have a compatible connection for it, then see if your video card will support it, some computers dont even support up to a 19 inch monitor if they are older. but always go for the bigger monitor, always better :-). also if you get a 19 inch you will be able to view MUCH more than on a 17 inch at once, and most likely all programs will look better too, but that depends.

The only difference is the size unless they are different brands. Also maybe the pixel or something are better on one or cheaper or something so look at the specifications and see what they say. If the only difference is the size then get 19"
HOpe this helps

I would go with the 19" too. Usually you will get higher resolutions with a larger monitor. The 17" might go to 1280x1024, and the 19" might go to 1600x1400, so there are differences other than size.
