We have the connection up but can't get on. We have the 25-digit code for the router, so what do we do with it in Windows 2000? Thanks.

This is for my sister-in-law...she lives 200 miles away in an apartment complex and one of her neighbors will let her use the connection. I take it there is a utility that comes with the router? (I don't know what brand/model the router is) ...and I don't know much about wireless yet. We get a good strong signal but no connect.

Your wireless adapter utility should allow you to enter the code.

You need to use that when setting up the connection to the router. If the router has a security setting turned on and you're trying to make a connection to it, you MUST use the same exact settings on the computer.
