fitting a suzuki ap50 drive belt?

please can sumbody help me ive managed to open the clutch and got the belt around there, but cant stretch it over the front spindle it just wont go (is there a special tool needed ? ) thanxs olly

Install the belt on the pulley that doesn't spread.
Jamb the the remaining part of the belt onto the spreadable pulley (at the top).
Turn the pulley, force the belt into the pulley towards the center spindle, while spreading the pulley sheaves apart.
If you've ever changed a tire, it's the same process.
Work it on.
